::Ring in the New Year with optimism::

Hello year 2014, we hope you will be our fortunate year.

Since we are ringing in the new year, we will try to be much more optimistic because 2013 has been an utterly frustrating year for us. Although, we already started facing some new, unexpected life events; admittedly, it is a little bit difficult to stay optimistic when something else continues to divert us from our plans.

"An arrow can only be shot by pulling it backward. When life is dragging you back with difficulties, it means that it's going to launch you into something great. So, just focus and keep aiming."

Of course, we want to thank our families for their ongoing support for everything! Our goal is to stay optimistic and remind ourselves that things happen for a reason and things will eventually work out somehow.

Anyways, we came up with two new ideas for our adoption fundraisers and will share the information with you really soon! The first one will be something fun and creative: a puzzle fundraiser. You'll see! :)

We are in the process of getting FBI clearances and trying to get our home study to be officially notarized in order for us to apply for adoption grants. This part takes painstakingly forever. We accept some fault for lagging since Brian has been REALLY busy with several out-of-state basketball tournaments the past three weeks. For those who aren't aware, Brian coaches the Varsity girls team at the Texas School for the Deaf.  We weren't able to get a lot of things done with our dossier. However, the basketball season will be coming to an end soon, which means more time for us to get the ball rolling (pun intended) again with our adoption! To be honest, there are no further updates. Nothing yet on the two boys... which is the most frustrating part. Be patient. Be patient. Our agency claimed that the government in Colombia takes their sweet time with paperwork and such. Obviously not very time-oriented like America. :)

We hope to hear and share some updates soon....
